Stray - Rachel Vincent

In the world of werecats, a female werecat is very special. So when Faythe Sanders is attacked by a ’stray’ werecat (a werecat that was not born a werecat, and don’t belong to any Pride) while away at grad school, she is summoned home by her Alpha. The attack was an attempted kidnap, targeted at many of the few female werecats. She is reluctant to return, but when faced by Marc, her former lover, she has no choice.

Faythe has no doubt that Marc still has strong feelings for her, and being back at her Pride, she is forced to confront them. She was engaged to him, but didn’t like the idea of being forced into the marriage for the convenience of the Pride, so she wanted out, and went off to grad school, to live a semi-normal life. Now she must face him, and try and work out what is going on with these tabby attacks.

Later on in the book, when Faythe is being her usual rather selfish self, she gets herself kidnapped by her attacker from school. She is taken to a cell, where she finds her cousin Abbey, and has to work out how to get Abbey and herself out unharmed.

Follow the story of Faythe and her Pride, in the Shifters series, starting with Stray. After only a few pages, you wont be able to put the book down!
